Training Successful fresh produce companies are always improving standards in response to customers’ demands and increasing competition in the market place.
The Real IPM Company directors have first-hand experience from their work within international horticultural produce companies of the practical implementation of professional standards in crop protection, traceability, health and safety, GLOBALGAP and ethical labour management.
Together with specialist associates, we have used this experience to devise a comprehensive suite of courses, which we believe will benefit your company. However, we are also able to respond to your specific needs and can tailor make courses to meet your individual requirements.
All the Real IPM courses are examinable but it is not company policy to issue attendance certificates to those who fail to achieve competency standards.
All our trainers are registered with EUREP GAP/GLOBAL GAP and Real IPM is a member of GLOBAL GAP. Our training certificates can therefore bear the EUREP GAP logo.
A choice of learning method
Most Real IPM training is organised as on-site courses held at the grower’s own farm or packhouse. This enables practical training to be provided and ensures we can assess the skills of participants more effectively. We often provide training overseas in other languages through simultaneous translation services. Real IPM has its own training facility for up to 20 participants at its head office, Kichozi Farm in Thika (30 minutes from Nairobi). Our specialist BASIS and FACTS courses are designed as a combination of distance learning, or in mixed mode, partly distance and partly contact days.
